Support a Disabled Immigrant's Journey Back to the US
Donation protected
Support an African immigrant with disabilities on his journey to return to the United States. He was deported from the US several years ago and has been living in his country of origin facing heavy stigma as a result of his mental disabilities. He has little access to mental health resources such as reliable medication, therapy, and community. His lawyers have not given up on his case, and he now has the opportunity to return to the United States. However, he needs to pay for his immigration fees and flight ticket to return. The US government has already denied him a fee waiver even though he is not able to work or leave his home due to the strong stigma against disabled and mentally ill people. His family and friends are not able to pay the fees alone. We ask anyone who can to please donate to help come back so he can receive treatment, services, and care from community.
