I'm a 57-year-old, recently divorced, and lost everything I owned. I am disabled and presently homeless, along with my dog Ruby. I am trying to raise enough money to get reliable transportation and/or a place to live.

I was in a car accident when I was 18, back in 1986, and was crushed from my waist down. I couldn't walk for over a year. When I started walking, I began coaching baseball and continued to coach until 2022. In the spring of 2023, my right leg went out. I was in the hospital for 7 weeks and had 3 surgeries on my right hip, and then my world imploded. I have been homeless off and on due to relying on others.

If I could get help getting back on my feet and doing it all on my own, it would mean the world to me. I get a monthly check for disability, but being alone with a disability, it's almost impossible to survive if you don't get help because the government doesn't do enough for elderly disabled people. We didn't even get a stimulus check.
