Blueocean– A Safe Haven for Every Cat

At Blueocean Cat Rescue, I believe every cat deserves a second chance at life — free from fear, hunger, and neglect. Nestled in a peaceful, caring environment, my sanctuary is a refuge for abandoned, abused, and special-needs cats who have nowhere else to go. I am also fostering mamas & kittens where other local rescues & the local SPCA have no room.

I provide not only good quality food, shelter, and medical care, but also love, patience, and respect — allowing each cat to heal or nurse at their own pace. Whether it’s a senior who lost their lifelong companion, a stray born on the street, feral, or a survivor of cruelty or hoarding, every cat that enters my door is treated like family.

My mission is rooted in compassion, driven by advocacy, and powered by my friends' support. Through rescue, rehabilitation, and education, I want to work to build a more humane world where all animals are valued and protected.

This is more than a sanctuary — it’s a promise that these cats will never be forgotten again. While I can't keep any more cats personally (I have 6), I will work to find good homes for these little sweethearts that ask for nothing but love.

I can't do this without help. I am disabled due to an autoimmune condition, 3 lower spine surgeries, and a neck surgery — and that was what ended my career as an HR professional in higher ed research. I handle a small homestead where I grow vegetables for myself and, on a limited income, try hard to keep my head above water.

Because I use a specific litter that I can compost on my property (not for gardening, don't worry!), top-of-the-line food, and have a vet who cares — this is not an inexpensive endeavor. The first cat I rescued was in 2014, so this has been a passion for over 10 years now, but I finally was able to set up my large basement to accommodate cats and kittens when the other local rescues are full.

I am not doing this as a business; I am doing it out of my love for cats and dislike for the overwhelming animal abuse that seems never-ending.

Thanks for considering a small donation to help with this endeavor. I can't do this without the generosity of others who care.
