Support a Dignified Farewell for Abba Gebre Tsadik

I am the daughter of Donald Arrondell Gulston, or Abba Gebre Tsadik--as he was known by members of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church community--which he served as a monk priest.

My father lived a life of optimism and touched the lives of many.

He passed away on September 5, 2024.

He struggled as a senior citizen, pinching pennies trying to maintain a moderate level of comfort for himself.

He was a loner--moving to Hawaii, far away from immediate family members, about 12 years ago. He was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer last year.

I am now trying to find a way to provide my father--who lived with such a love for life--with an honorable burial with few resources.

Currently, my family has received an in-kind donation of a burial plot, with opening and closing services. As well, the campaign has received $2840 dollars; half of which was recently used to pay for services provided at a funeral home that was caring for my father.

I am now working to raise approximately $5000 more to use to cover the casket, preparation of the body, transport of my father to the funeral service and to the burial site, amongst other services related to the funeral and burial of my father.
