Help Build a Digital Learning Center for Students in Ethiopia
In the heart of Ethiopia's Yirgacheffe coffee region, more than 350 students attend the Yirgacheffe Union Academy with only seven working computers.
For many of these students, access to technology is limited, making it difficult to develop the digital skills that are increasingly essential for higher education, employment, and participation in today's world.
The school was built and is operated by the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (YCFCU), the same cooperative whose members have spent generations producing some of the world's most celebrated coffees. Their commitment extends beyond coffee production; they have invested in education because they believe the future of their community begins with its children.
Now, they need our help.
Our goal is to raise $55,000 to create a fully equipped digital learning center, including:
- 40 desktop computers
- A dedicated server
- Networking infrastructure
- A projector
- Educational software and installation
This computer lab will give hundreds of students the opportunity to learn computer literacy, conduct research, complete assignments, and build skills that open doors to future careers.
As a coffee importer, we've had the privilege of working closely with YCFCU for many years. We've seen firsthand the care they put into both their coffee and their community, and we're honored to support this initiative.
Every contribution—large or small—brings us closer to giving these students access to the tools they deserve.
If you're unable to donate, sharing this campaign with friends, family, or your coffee community is another meaningful way to help.
Together, we can help create opportunities that extend far beyond the coffee cup.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
