My mom, a dedicated special education teacher at a public school, was arrested over a false accusation of inflicting harm on a student —and now she has to come up with $8,000 to pay the lawyer representing her in this case.

Her students — many of whom face unique challenges — have shown incredible growth under her care. She pours her heart into her classroom and shows up with love, patience, and consistency.
