I am starting this fundraiser for a dear friend and coworker, a devoted single mom who has spent years showing up for others in every part of her life.
In her work with children with special needs, she brings patience, compassion, and steady care to the children and families she works with each day.
Outside of work, she has been just as dedicated to her community. For the past 13 years, she has proudly volunteered with Girl Scouts, giving her time to support and mentor girls. She has always made it a priority to be involved in community activities and help wherever she can.
She is the kind of person who gives her time, energy, and heart without hesitation. So many people have felt the impact of her kindness, generosity, and willingness to always be there for others.
And if you know her, you also know she is a HUGE Eagles fan! She loves cheering on her team and sharing that excitement and passion with her friends and family.
Now, after being diagnosed with breast cancer, she is facing an incredibly difficult and uncertain time. She will be undergoing two surgeries—one in September and another after she has had time to recover. Because of her treatment and recovery, she will be unable to work for some time.
As a single mom, this is especially challenging. With limited health coverage, the cost of medical care, household expenses, and time away from work will place a significant financial strain on her and her daughter.
This fundraiser is being created to help ease that burden by assisting with medical expenses and everyday living costs while she focuses on what matters most: healing and being there for her daughter.
I am asking for support for someone who has spent so much of her life openly giving her support to others.
If you are able, please consider donating, sharing this fundraiser, or simply keeping her and her daughter in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. No amount is too small, and every act of kindness makes a difference.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping her and her daughter through this journey.
