Support a Determined Mother of 4 in Crisis
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Michelle, and I’m a proud mother of four beautiful children. I’ve recently completed another year of university, pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice with the goal of building a better future—not just for my family, but for Indigenous youth and communities as well. I also just started a new job that aligns with my dreams and values.
However, due to a series of unexpected expenses and a sudden cut in childcare subsidies, I’ve found myself in a deep financial crisis. My rent, car and home insurance, van payment, and daycare fees have piled up. My van—a necessity for daycare drop-offs and work—now urgently needs brake repairs. I’m also struggling to provide essential clothing for my growing toddlers and professional attire for my new job. With grocery and gas costs rising, it's become incredibly difficult to cover even basic needs.
I’m a person who has always found a way through, who others come to for help—but today, I’m the one in need. This isn’t easy to share, but I believe in community, in kindness, and in helping each other up when times get hard.
I’m asking for a hand up—not a handout. Anything you can give will directly go toward keeping my family stable during this critical time:
Rent and utilities
Vehicle repairs and payments
Increased daycare fees
Groceries and gas
Clothing for my children and myself for work
If you’re not in a place to give, I completely understand. Sharing this campaign can help just as much.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Your support means everything right now.
With gratitude,
Michelle
