Support a determined Afghan woman's education

I am an asylum seeker from Afghanistan. In Afghanistan, I was a Law School student at Kabul University. Although I ranked first during each of my 5 semesters, I became discouraged because the male professors made it clear that they believed women are intellectually deficient and cannot work in the law profession. I even received threats to my life from my male peers. I wanted an education free of gender bias, and to study in an environment where academic and career freedom are valued and protected.

I, therefore, decided to seek undergraduate education in the U.S. with an eye toward studying law. In 2018, I came to the US on a student visa. I began my studies at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Unlike my experience in Kabul, I discovered that I was treated equally as my fellow male classmates.
I graduated with honors, and was accepted to a master’s program at St John's University. I have just completed my first year, however, due to the situation in Afghanistan (Taliban regime), I sought asylum. Due to my pending asylum interview and work permit, I have been struggling to meet my daily needs and pay for my tuition. I would be very grateful for any support and contribution that I might receive through this platform.  Any money contributed will be applied to school tuition and help me survive.
