Angelica Rodriguez, 46, was born in El Salvador and was a professor who touched and influenced several lives but was tragically taken away from us on Monday, December 03, 2018. Angelica was a mother of three, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt, daughter, and a friend to many people. Her main objectives and passions were to help students who sought a brighter future. She was a professor who obtained several degrees in her career and taught for over 18 years. Aside from her career, she brightened everyone's lives with her humorous and loving ways of being. She helped everyone in any way that she could in order to bring out the potential that she knew that everyone had. Her contagious laugh, her beautiful smile, and her smart personality is what we will all remember and truly miss, oh so dearly.
On Monday, December 03, 2018, at approximately 12 pm, her life was cut short and to an abrupt end. While visiting her family for the holidays, in Los Angeles, she accompanied her cousin (Silvia) on an errand when they suddenly heard a noise coming from their vehicle's tire. They got off to inspect the tire when the unimaginable happened. Her life was taken when an unknown and unidentified person committed a drive-by shooting. Angelica was an innocent bystander who was unfortunately shot multiple times, in the heart, lungs, and abdomen, resulting in the cause of her death.
Our family is now seeking help in order to help cover expenses for the funeral, burial, flight back to El Salvador, and to help her three children that she leaves behind. As we mourn and our hearts ache for her unexpected death, we please ask everyone to help in contributing any amount. Anything will help and will be greatly appreciated. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you all for the love and support. We hope to find justice for this inhumane act that cost us a beloved family member.
