Support a Dedicated Leader's New Beginning

I know that I am incredibly blessed...and I am surrounded by people who are likewise blessed beyond measure. We don't always recognize it, but that's a discussion for a different time.
One of the blessings I've had in life is the opportunity to serve on the staff of the Boy Scout National Jamboree. While I was there, I made friends from across the country and around the world. One of my closest friends was Stefanie.
Stefanie is the epitome of servant leader. She served her country as a Marine. She continues to serve her community as an EMT. She serves as an incredibly active volunteer for her sons' high school band. She serves as a leader for her local scout units. She has served as a course director for Wood Badge (a leadership course for adults in scouting that many - including myself - consider pinacle events of our scouting lives. It's a big deal to be chosen to lead that course). She has been recognized for her service to scouting in countless ways.
Servant is who she is.
Unfortunately, serving others - while rewarding the heart - does not always reward the pocketbook. Like many servant leaders, Stefanie is not always financially bouyant. Afloat...but not without concious decisions keeping her there.
One of the highlights of her life was a couple of years ago when the stars aligned and she was able to purchase a home...a single mother's dream! It needed a complete remodel, but it was hers. Through determination and a few YouTube videos, she taught herself the skills to remodel the home and was making progress while living her in parents' basement.
Tragically, not everyone was excited for her. On August 17 she woke up with COVID, and as she picked up the phone to call into work there was a message waiting for her saying her house was total loss. It has been determined that it was a robbery, and the ne'erdowell covered their tracks with arson. All the progress and many of her possessions are gone.

All that remained of Stefanie's house.
Once again, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Through diligent effort, she has retired some debt and is again in the position to purchase a modest home. Those wheels are turning.
Unfortunately, even as the wheels turn and the joy of homeownership awaits, there is fear. The expenses of inspections, and moving, and basic furnishings/appliances not covered by a home loan that will be needed when she finds a home.
Stefanie is much too proud to ask for herself.
As much as any of us would like to, most of us could not cover the cost for her. But together, we can build a fund that will give her the means to take a step forward in life, reigniting her passion for service to others.
Won't you please consider helping?
A note on the amount. None of us know how much to set a goal for. $15k was suggested by GoFundMe to be in line with other projects like this.
Even if you're unable to contribute yourself, please consider sharing this story and effort.
