Hey y'all. I’m a single mom of 3 who’s been working her ASS off trying to build a better life for my family after 2 long years of shelter living and living with friends from fleeing abuse. I’ve gone from having absolutely no credit after 13+ years of financial abuse, to building my credit past the average amount and climbing!

I got us a beautiful apartment duplex, and a reliable car so I can continue to serve the greater Twin Cities families as a postpartum doula. My car had a “happenstance” major issue that is now requiring a full engine replacement. This is a huge setback if I have to surrender the vehicle, and I’m asking for help. Ive attached a photo of the auto repair quote if folks feel more comfortable contacting them directly. I’ve already been able to reach out to community services for help and am able to gather about $1,500 in funding. Rent is due and I still need about $4,000 to cover the repair. I’ve exhausted all options including calling around to trade in and refinance, but that would still put me in a bigger financial hole than just paying for the replacement. This was a good car, no issues, I maintained the car very well, and it so happened to have a cylinder valve chip off into the engine. The auto shop named this as a very rare circumstance. Please help us so I can continue to do the work I do and not get evicted!
