Support a Dedicated Dad and His Special Needs Kids

I'm a former organizer for Daily Kos, author of articles that were published and picked up by NPR, and elsewhere but mostly I'm someone who considers myself a dad first. I take great care to put the needs of my children ahead of almost anything. As the parent to two special needs children, I know that you go through good times and tough times with what can happen in the care of your children, but the last few years have been exceptionally difficult.

Not only have they lost their mother and childhood home to pay for healthcare and her hospice, a second home was lost due to fire.

More recently, we are battling the system in place which will make handling the forms of disability they have exceptionally difficult and has become so financially draining that I need your help!

Now, I am required to look into major changes for my son's care and that creates new and significant cost that simply overruns any ability I can reasonably put together on short notice.
