My name is Kinga Krajnik and I’m an opera singer. For years, I’ve seen how hard it is for artists – musicians, painters, sculptors – to find a space where they are truly supported, not exploited. That’s why I decided to open my Kunstsalon – an independent art space in the heart of Vienna, created not for profit, but out of deep conviction and passion.

I built this place entirely with my own funds, because I believe in the value of sincere, high-quality art. I also applied for government funding, but unfortunately, my application was rejected. That refusal was incredibly disappointing – especially knowing that the funds would not have gone into my pocket, but directly to the artists I work so hard to support.

What Happens in My Kunstsalon?

• Every Saturday, I invite incredible musicians to perform concerts – from classical to jazz and experimental music.

• Every three weeks, I curate a new art exhibition – featuring painting or sculpture.

• The programs are always original and author-driven. No commercial shows – only what the artists themselves want to present.

I also serve carefully selected wine at each event – personally chosen by me. Before opening the Kunstsalon, I completed a sommelier course because I believe that everything I do should be of the highest quality.

Why I’m Asking for Help

My Kunstsalon is new and still cannot sustain itself. Despite all my dedication, I can no longer afford to pay rent, support artists, and organize events without help.

It breaks my heart, but without outside support, I may have to close the space.

I want to pay artists fair, high fees and ensure that art in this space remains independent and world-class – not commercial. This place has a beautiful atmosphere, a large terrace, and artistic potential. But I can’t do it alone.

Unterstütze eine kulturelle Mission – kein Geschäftsmodell

Ich heiße Kinga Krajnik und bin Opernsängerin. Seit Jahren sehe ich, wie schwer es für Künstler:innen – Musiker:innen, Maler:innen, Bildhauer:innen – ist, einen Ort zu finden, an dem sie wirklich unterstützt und nicht ausgenutzt werden. Deshalb habe ich beschlossen, meinen Kunstsalon zu eröffnen – einen unabhängigen Kunstraum im Herzen Wiens, gegründet nicht aus Profitinteresse, sondern aus tiefer Überzeugung und Leidenschaft.

Ich habe diesen Ort vollständig aus eigenen Mitteln geschaffen, weil ich an die Bedeutung ehrlicher, hochwertiger Kunst glaube.

Ich habe auch um staatliche Unterstützung angesucht, aber leider wurde mein Antrag abgelehnt. Diese Ablehnung war sehr enttäuschend – vor allem, weil das Geld nicht in meine Tasche, sondern direkt an die Künstler:innen gehen sollte.

Was passiert in meinem Kunstsalon?

• Jeden Samstag lade ich großartige Musiker:innen zu Konzerten ein – von Klassik über Jazz bis zu experimenteller Musik.

• Alle drei Wochen kuratiere ich eine neue Ausstellung – Malerei oder Skulptur.

• Alle Programme sind original und künstlerisch frei gestaltet. Keine kommerziellen Shows – nur das, was die Künstler:innen selbst zeigen möchten.

Bei jeder Veranstaltung serviere ich ausgewählte Weine, die ich persönlich auswähle. Vor der Eröffnung meines Kunstsalons habe ich einen Sommelierkurs absolviert – denn für mich zählt jedes Detail und die höchste Qualität.

Warum ich um Hilfe bitte

Mein Kunstsalon ist neu und noch nicht selbsttragend. Trotz meines großen Engagements kann ich mir ohne Unterstützung die Miete, Künstlerhonorare und Veranstaltungen nicht mehr leisten.

Es bricht mir das Herz, aber ohne Hilfe muss ich diesen Ort vielleicht schließen.

Ich möchte Künstler:innen fair und großzügig bezahlen und dafür sorgen, dass die Kunst in diesem Raum unabhängig und hochwertig bleibt. Der Ort hat eine schöne Atmosphäre, eine große Terrasse und großes Potenzial – aber ich kann es nicht alleine schaffen.

Wesprzyj misję kultury – nie biznes

Nazywam się Kinga Krajnik i jestem śpiewaczką operową. Od lat widzę, jak trudno jest artystom – muzykom, malarzom, rzeźbiarzom – znaleźć przestrzeń, w której są naprawdę wspierani, a nie wykorzystywani. Dlatego postanowiłam otworzyć mój Kunstsalon – niezależne miejsce sztuki w sercu Wiednia, stworzone nie dla zysku, ale z potrzeby serca i misji.

Stworzyłam to miejsce w całości z własnych środków, bo wierzę w wartość prawdziwej, wysokiej jakości sztuki.

Złożyłam również wniosek o dofinansowanie rządowe, ale niestety został odrzucony. Ta decyzja była dla mnie bardzo bolesna – szczególnie, że te pieniądze miały trafić nie do mnie, ale bezpośrednio do artystów, których tak bardzo chcę wspierać.

Co dzieje się w moim Kunstsalonie?

• W każdą sobotę zapraszam wspaniałych muzyków na koncerty – od klasyki po jazz i muzykę eksperymentalną.

• Co trzy tygodnie prezentuję nową wystawę – malarstwo lub rzeźbę.

• Programy są autorskie i niekomercyjne – każdy artysta pokazuje własną wizję.

Podczas wydarzeń serwuję wyselekcjonowane wina, które sama wybieram. Przed otwarciem Kunstsalonu ukończyłam kurs sommelierski, bo wszystko, co robię, ma być na najwyższym poziomie.

Dlaczego proszę o pomoc

Mój Kunstsalon jest nowy i nie jest jeszcze w stanie utrzymać się samodzielnie. Mimo ogromnego zaangażowania, bez wsparcia finansowego nie jestem w stanie pokrywać kosztów wynajmu, wypłat dla artystów i organizacji wydarzeń.

Z ciężkim sercem przyznaję, że bez wsparcia mogę być zmuszona zamknąć to miejsce.

Bardzo mi zależy, żeby artyści otrzymywali godne wynagrodzenie, a poziom artystyczny pozostał wysoki i niezależny. To piękne miejsce z dużym tarasem i ogromnym potencjałem – ale nie dam rady sama.
