Hi! Thank you for your interest in my GoFundMe. My name is Caitlyn, and my goal is to raise $1,000 by November 5th. My best friend and boyfriend, Michael, has recently launched a new app called Thriftly—a university-specific marketplace where students can buy and sell clothes, books, furniture, and more. Since its launch in late September, Michael has already established over 300 users on the app and over 1,000 followers on the Thriftly Instagram account (@Thriftly.us). He coded Thriftly himself, including the front and back end, and continues to revise and improve the code as his app grows in popularity. He aims to add more features, including providing automatic offer suggestions, insights on your own listings, and potentially even in-app purchases in the future.

Since Michael and I met in 2022, I have admired the dedication and discipline he exercises in every aspect of his life—especially involving his education and career. Michael is extremely involved on and off campus and is always participating in events to strengthen his skills and push himself out of his comfort zone. I know that he will be successful in anything he does, and I am so proud to have the privilege to watch his passion for software engineering grow through his creation!
