Hi everyone!! I’m coming to you on behalf of a dear friend of mine Dominique who is battling cancer for the 2nd time this time stage IV recurrance and metastatsis to several areas to humbly request assistance with her medical treatments.

She is a friend local to our Dayton community...daily interacting and serving others and working without many aware of her ongoing battle. But the time has come to rally help as she tries to maintain many treatments out of pocket to help the chemo in its highest effectiveness in her case.

Since I have known her she has always been quick to help others in need doing various volunteer work and donating to those in crisis in the community even still while fighting cancer herself. She has been very quietly and bravely fighting this as her diagnosis of the reoccurrence last spring came as her son was in his senior year of high school and in hoping not to burden her elderly parents. She has been using a combination of holistic methods and more recently chemotherapy after a surgery in which all of her cancer could not be removed.

I had previously offered to help but she wanted to rely on personal funds as long as possible and has still been working in the midst of being extremely ill and in tremendous pain. Now it has come to the point where she will have to pick and choose/leave out treatments that are sustaining her due to the financial constraints this has caused.

I believe that sometimes the strongest among us who always try to take care of themselves and everyone else find it hardest to reach out.

An update from today…

The chemo is extremely harsh on me and there are fewer good days between treatments.

I need to do this a minimum of 12 treatments (6 months.)

The alternative treatments are helping sustain me. There are several I get that all help kill the cancer or boost my immune system the chemo kills.

I also get Mistletoe which is done regularly in Europe and been tested at John's Hopkins from the FDA

But hasnt had final approval in the U S yet.

I pay for this all out of pocket.

I get these treatments individually making several trips to Cincinnati before and after my treatment....

The separate treatments I need add up to about

$550‐600 twice a month out of pocket. Not including supplements and Dr fees and lab fees and the mistletoe which is separate and $250 about every month.

I've been managing it with my job but starting to work less hours during chemo weeks....

My blood test showed the chemo at most would be 70% effective and we have to hit it with other things listed above to for full effectiveness....

I've been paying for it since July....and now I am running even or a little behind on my paychecks. I'm just hoping not to have to start choosing which treatment to leave out.
