Support a Retired Father, a Seamstress Mother, and Their Family Helping Displaced Families in Gaza
Hi, my name is Gaby. I live in Australia and I befriended Sara almost two years ago. I will be collecting then transferring funds to her parents to help them to survive and continue to care for displaced families.
This is the story of her parents, a humble family in Gaza: a retired father, a mother who used to work as a seamstress, and their son and daughter.
Before the war, they lived a simple but dignified life. The father lived on his small pension, while the mother helped neighbors and supported the family through her sewing. Together, they dreamed of giving their children a better future.
Today, despite their own limited means, this family has opened their home to shelter several displaced families who have lost everything. They share what little they have — food, water, and kindness — with those who are most vulnerable. The mother still cooks daily meals to feed not only her children but also the many children and parents now under their care.
But the burden has become overwhelming. Prices of food and supplies have skyrocketed, and their resources are exhausted. Still, they continue to give all they can, refusing to turn anyone away.
We are asking for your support to help this family continue their vital role:
To provide daily meals for the displaced families they are sheltering.
To buy food, clean water, medicine, and essential supplies.
To restore hope and dignity for many who have nowhere else to go.
Even the smallest donation will make a difference. Together, we can empower this kind family to keep being a source of light for others in these darkest times.
