Support a community organizer in a difficult position

Hey y’all, as many of you may already know, I have come into a difficult time paying rent and bills after my work contract was not renewed related to my participation in a walkout at City Hall following the demand for a ceasefire resilution. I was previously working for a new participatory budgeting program run by the city.

It began when I was taken aside and told that the management of the office alleged I was a “security risk” and would not be granted badge access to City Hall. After this, it became even more abundantly clear that the city has nothing but contempt for those fighting for justice in this movement. Just a few weeks later, when I was to get a new contract, I was told simply that I “didn’t belong at the city”. I plan to use the donations to pay for rent and utilities.
