Support a Chicago Artist's Burlesque Dream

I'm a performing and teaching artist local to Chicago who danced professionally before starting my burlesque career in 2017. I'm honored to be this year's recipient of the Sparkly Devil Memorial Scholarship, which will allow me to attend the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender this June with the special opportunity to act as an escort for one of our burlesque Legends.

If you're unfamiliar with burlesque, the BHoF Weekender is one of the largest industry events held as an annual fundraiser in Vegas for the Burlesque Hall of Fame. Between travel, lodging, event tickets, etc. attending the Weekender gets very expensive.

Thankfully through this scholarship my lodging and event tickets are covered, which helps exponentially with the fees. However, there are still other expenses related to the trip I'll need to cover on my own. This also comes at a time when I am struggling to make rent for the month.

As a full-time artist I rely primarily on performing, modeling and teaching with the bulk of my income coming from shows. Right now I have just enough work to cover my other bills and expenses but I don't have enough work in May to cover my rent. So I'm asking for assistance with my rent and travel expenses so I can take advantage of this magnificent opportunity and attend the Weekender. Something that was only a dream until now.

A big chunk of the funds raised will cover my rent for the month with the rest going towards my flight, cab fares, per diem and other amenities during my 6-day stay, including visiting the BHoF Museum with my Legend escort before the museum permanently shuts its doors.
