On my birthday, August 3, 2023, I was told I had cancer. Since then, I've had 3 rounds of chemo, 22 rounds of radiation, and 20 hyperbaric chamber treatments. In January of 2025, I was told I was cancer-free. In March of the same year, I was told the cancer had returned. I went through a battery of tests only to be told that at this time, the only option left was a surgery that would be severely disfiguring with no real guarantee of success. I subsequently have chosen to ride it out and have been given a 6-month diagnosis.

I am currently attempting to complete some bucket list items, and one is a cruise. Graciously, some friends have made this wish come true, and along with them, I will be going to Belize at the end of the month. My dilemma is that floral work is very slow, and I haven't worked and have no bookings until September. I need to pay for a flight to Tampa and raise some funds for the cruise as well as I have lost a lot of weight due to the cancer and don't want to look like a third-class passenger, so I need to purchase some cruise clothes. I realize that to some, this may seem trivial, but it is something that will mean the world to me. I've already made and paid for final needs, so there won't be any requests for those funds.
