Growing up in the Bronx, I learned the value of working hard to overcome obstacles. I think that's why wrestling just made sense to me. Wrestling became my outlet, my motivation, and my focus. As a girl in a tough sport, there were moments when people doubted me, underestimated me, or questioned whether I belonged on the mat. But I kept showing up, training harder, and pushing myself past every obstacle even when I was the only girl on the mat. All of that hard work paid off when I earned a spot on the New York State freestyle wrestling team and qualified to compete at National Duals and Fargo, some of the biggest wrestling tournaments in the country. Representing New York and my community is something I take immense pride in, and I’m determined to make the most of this opportunity.
Getting to this level has taken sacrifice not only from me but from my family as well. The costs of travel, tournament fees, food, gear, and training add up quickly, and it’s difficult to cover everything needed to compete at my best. I train every day to prepare myself physically and mentally for this stage, but I need help getting there. These tournaments are more than just competitions—they are opportunities to gain national exposure, compete against the best athletes in the country, and continue building a future through wrestling.
Every donation will go directly toward helping me attend National Duals and Fargo, as well as covering the training and travel expenses that come with chasing this dream. I’m asking for your support because I truly believe dreams are built through community. Every contribution, share, and word of encouragement helps me move one step closer to stepping on that mat and proudly representing the Bronx and New York State. I want younger girls in my community to see that no matter where you come from, you can achieve incredible things with hard work and support behind you. Thank you for believing in me, investing in my future, and helping me.
