Help Keep My Son Gio in Private Education

A bright, hardworking boy with no dad is at risk of having his dreams disrupted because of finances. Gio has been at his private school since 2020, where he’s thrived, made friends, and feels part of a family. As a single mum, I can no longer afford the fees, and he’s now in 11th grade — a crucial time for his A Levels. I’m asking for help to keep him in the caring school where he’s growing and shining.

A Little bit more about it...

Gio has always been a bright, curious, and incredibly hard-working boy. Seeing his passion for learning, I thought — why not give him the chance to reach his full potential in a private school? I chose to try for a place in a private school because I knew Gio needed to be challenged and supported in the right way. With smaller class sizes and more individual attention, I believed he could truly reach his potential - and he has. He passed the entrance test, and with the help of a scholarship, we were able to make it happen. He joined right in the middle of Covid — I still remember his excitement and nervous smile walking into a completely new place without ever visiting beforehand.

Since then, he has grown into a wonderful young man. He’s dedicated, kind, and always willing to help. At school, he looks after the sound and lighting for theatre productions, takes part in performances, and even gives sports a try (although we both know it’s not his strongest talent!).

As a single mum, I’ve done everything possible to support him — selling what I had, working long hours, and managing everything on my own. But now, I’ve reached a point where I can no longer afford the remaining school fees on my own.

I don’t want Gio to lose the environment where he’s thriving — where his teachers believe in him and where he’s had the opportunity to shine. So with a humble heart, I’m asking for help to keep my son in school and give him the chance to continue building the future he truly deserves.

Every bit of support means the world to us.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
A very proud (and hopeful) Mum.

P.S. Gio recently completed 11 GCSE subjects and achieved a Grade 9 in every single one of them — an accomplishment reached by less than 0.02% of students in the country. I couldn’t be prouder. He continues to work harder every day, hoping to attend universities such as Imperial College London or LSE in the future. Thank you again for your kindness and support.
