Today we come to you on behalf of a dedicated, hardworking woman and single mother of three whose life was completely changed by a senseless act of violence.

This incredible woman is no stranger to difficult battles. Last year, she bravely overcame cancer, showing a level of strength and resilience that inspires everyone who knows her. Now, she is facing yet another difficult challenge.

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, while working at a store in the Albany Park area, she was brutally attacked during a robbery. Two individuals entered the establishment, assaulted her, and repeatedly threatened her with a firearm. In that terrifying moment, she feared for her life. The attack left her with serious injuries, including a broken nose, as well as emotional trauma that will take time to heal.

Tragically, this violent incident was part of a series of events that took place that same day. The individuals continued committing violent acts and, heartbreakingly, a police officer lost his life. Our hearts are with all the victims and families affected by this tragedy.

As a single mother, she is the sole provider for her three children. Due to her injuries, she is currently unable to work and is facing the daily challenges of supporting her family while she recovers.

Hoy acudimos a ustedes en nombre de una mujer dedicada, trabajadora y madre soltera de tres hijos, cuya vida cambió por completo debido a un acto violento y sin sentido.

Esta increíble mujer no es ajena a las batallas difíciles. El año pasado, venció el cáncer con una fortaleza admirable, demostrando una valentía y resiliencia que inspiran a todos los que la conocen. Sin embargo, hoy enfrenta una nueva y dura prueba.

El pasado sábado 25 de abril de 2026, mientras trabajaba en una tienda en el área de Albany Park, fue brutalmente atacada durante un robo. Dos individuos entraron al establecimiento, la agredieron y la amenazaron repetidamente con un arma de fuego. En ese momento tan aterrador, temió por su vida. El ataque le dejó heridas graves, incluyendo la nariz rota, además de un trauma emocional que tomará tiempo en sanar.

Desgraciadamente, este violento suceso forma parte de una serie de hechos ocurridos ese mismo día. Los responsables continuaron cometiendo actos violentos y, trágicamente, un oficial perdió la vida. Nos unimos en solidaridad con todas las víctimas y sus familias afectadas por esta terrible tragedia.

Como madre soltera, ella es el único sustento de sus tres hijos. Debido a sus lesiones, actualmente no puede trabajar y enfrenta las necesidades diarias para mantener a su familia mientras se recupera.
