Support a Brave Mother Battling Osteomyelitis

Dear friends,

I’m reaching out to you today with a heartfelt plea for support on behalf of a remarkable woman who is facing an incredibly challenging time. As a self-employed hairdresser and a devoted single mother to two young children, ages 9 and 14, she has always worked tirelessly to provide for her family. However, her life was turned upside down when she contracted osteomyelitis, a severe bone infection caused by contaminated beach water.

Since June, she has endured many hospital visits. As of recent, she was admitted to the hospital and has been in there for the past 8 days. Now, she faces a rigorous treatment regimen that requires daily IV infusions for the next six weeks, as well as oral antibiotics. After this treatment, she will need an MRI to determine if the infection has been successfully treated, as the threat of losing her thumb looms over her.

Being out of work during this time has put an immense strain on her and her children. The financial burden of medical expenses and the inability to earn a living has left her feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about the future.

We’re asking for your help to support this brave mother through her recovery journey.
