Hey guys, I'm starting this for a dear friend of mine who is in a really bad situation. Due to what you read below, I needed to do this anonymously in fear of her getting any repercussions.

She is in a really bad situation. Her husband moved them down to North Carolina due to him wanting to move back there, which isolated her from her and her son’s support system and career with the ability to be financially independent. She had been a stay-at-home mom for the past 14 months. Recently, he hit her and she tried to fight back, and then he put a restraining order against her, which includes him getting emergency custody of their son. She is currently staying at a homeless shelter. He has cut off access to their income and she can’t afford lawyer fees, court fees, or even food and gas to get to the upcoming court dates.

She informed me she only has 5 more weeks where she is staying and then after that she has nowhere to go and she can’t leave the state of North Carolina until custody is settled, which takes over a year. Please, anything will help her fight through this and fight for her son and also get her stable while going through this tough situation.
