Hello! My names Cendra Guillen & I am 35 years old! I wanted to reach out to you today with a very heavy heart and an urgent plea for support on my journey with battling cancer.

Most of you know that I got diagnosed with colorectal cancer stage 3 on 10-21-2023.

In October, I filed for state disability and took a medical leave from my job at Little Gems Pre-School in Truckee, CA.

In November, I was having a blockage, so I underwent surgery to divert my body to a ileostomy bag, which has unfortunately/temporarily disabled me.

In December 2023, I underwent surgery for a port placement, so I could start chemotherapy treatment at Emanuel Cancer Center in Turlock, CA. Not to mention, I couldn't have done none of this without my parents and my husbands help. (blessing)

I completed 10 rounds of chemotherapy, while traveling a 3-hour commute back and forth from the Truckee area to Turlock.

After completing chemotherapy, I went through 6 weeks of radiation treatment with combination of chemotherapy pills. I was so thankful to finally be local to where I lived, thanks to my doctor transferring me closer to home. I finished radiation treatment in June 2024. Located in Truckee, CA. Called Gene Upshaw Tahoe Forest Cancer Center.

Unfortunately, I am stuck with a lot of medical bills due to my health insurance changing in the middle of my treatment. I have a lot of out-of-pocket costs and co-pays/bills that are not very affordable at the moment!

My surgery is $15,000 dollars total. Anthem Blue Cross (my health insurance) is only covering me 30%, leaving me with a huge out of pocket deductible.

I am asking for everyone's help to fundraise for my final surgery deductible. I have gone through many colonoscopies, scans, and labs as well in between treatment and doctors appointments.

My surgery date is 10-23-2024! In Sacramento at Sutter Health medical center! Please help me on my journey to fight this cancer battle
