Support a Black Trans Artist's Lambda Retreat

Greetings and salutations all,

I'm a multi-hyphenate Black, Trans nonbinary artist (mainly writing plays, poetry, and musicals) and I was accepted as a Fellow for Lambda Literary's 2025 Writers Retreat for Emerging LGBTQ Voices. This organization does amazing work in uplifting Queer artists and I've been telling myself for years to apply, so I'm incredibly grateful and excited for this opportunity, especially as I'll be under the mentorship of one of my favorite writers, Roger Q. Mason!!!! Unfortunately, we all know arts orgs struggle with funding (especially now, with the NEA withdrawing funding from theaters/companies that support QTBIPOC artistry), so I wasn't able to receive a scholarship for the retreat. I've already paid the deposit, leaving $1,100 as my final balance to be paid before the retreat starts in July. As I'm working part time and still searching for a second job, I'm trying to raise $850, as I should be able to pay off the rest with one of my paychecks to come. I know money is tight for everyone, but Trans art/voices are and have always been crucial, and all of my work centers Black, Trans, neurospicy experiences, so any donations are greatly appreciated and if donations aren't possible, please share this post with any and everyone you know!!
