Hi, my name is Kymani and this month I’ll be graduating from Cosmetology school this month … something I’ve worked hard for despite a lot of financial stress behind the scenes. I’m trying to build a future for myself in the beauty industry, but right now life has honestly been very overwhelming because school is giving me a block for more opportunities until i graduate.

Between paying rent, utilities, school expenses, and trying to gain consistent clients, I’ve been struggling just to keep up. I barely have enough left over to enjoy small moments or take care of the people and things I love most. My mom and I have both been going through a hard time financially, and with her birthday coming up on May 30, I wish more than anything I could do something special for her or even buy her a small gift to show how much she deserves to be celebrated.

I also have a cat that I love dearly who needs veterinary care, and lately it’s been difficult trying to afford everything at once. Even with all of this, I’m still pushing forward and doing my best to create a stable life and career for myself. I truly believe I’ll get where I want to be one day .. I just need a little help getting through this season.
