Support for a Beloved SCC Staff & Friend - Battling Thyroid Cancer
We are rallying around a dear friend, Emily, who is currently facing the challenge of thyroid cancer.
She was diagnosed with Graves’ disease (autoimmune) a little over two years ago. Emily has tried to manage it with medication in hopes to preserve her thyroid and stay in remission. A routine scan revealed growths and after a biopsy, found she had thyroid cancer.
Emily also has Celiac disease. In recovery, she plans to enroll into a GF meal deliver kit which these funds will support.
Her strength, grace, and unwavering care for SCC students, friends, and clients at her Business (Second String Consulting) have made a lasting impact on so many lives.
The financial burden of treatment, medical bills, paired with the added difficulty of managing food allergies (which limits meal support options), created the need to start a GoFundMe page to support this wonderful family.
Every donation, no matter the size, is a blessing and will go directly toward easing medical and recovery expenses.
