Hello/Aniin Boozhoo and Hi!

My name is jaye simpson and I am a 30 year old Two Spirit/Indigiqueer trans girl hoping to access top surgery by the end of this year. There's a lot of varying experiences with gender affirming healthcare in British Columbia and Canada but mine hasn't been so good as a plus sized girl. I have spent the last several years battling archaic health systems and now can finally access chest constructive surgeries. Unfortunately, two of them are NOT covered by the province and require funds to accomplish for the best results. I require a tuck and a lift to ensure I have the best results and have a successful surgery experience. Unfortunately these are costly and have a price tag of $21k+. I also would need recovery time and would have to take time from work and contracts to prioritize my healing.

The cost for the surgery is slated at just over $21,000 CAD with taxes and I have budgeted $7,000 CAD for my healing and recovery for 3 months as I will have limited mobility and access.

I know this is a steep cost, but I have been working on some prints and shirt ideas to help ease the cost and the ask from community. I know these are trying times for so many of us, but the dream of gender affirming care is so close for me and I would love to go into my 31st year feeling more attune with my body.
