I am reaching out on behalf of my dear friend and co-worker Sammy Pereira and her family, who are going through an incredible difficult time. Her daughter Diana, after a courageous two and a half year battle for her life after Covid 19 complications has sadly passed away. Diana was a shining light in the lives of everyone she met. All those who had the privilege of knowing Diana and her infectious smile and personality know how she could brighten any room, and truly understand how special she was. Heaven has truly gained one of its greatest angels.

Diana has dedicated 18 years to educating the children of lodi school district at hilltop elementary, her passion for teaching and her commitment to her students left an incredible mark on the community. Diana was an incredible mother, daughter, sister and friend, leaving behind her eleven year old son, her loving mother and father and her beloved sister.

As her family navigates this immense loss, we are asking for your kindness and support as they're facing overwhelming expenses for medical bills, as well as funeral arrangements on top of the financial burden that incurred from traveling back and forth to new york city for Diana's care over the last 2.5 years she fought for her life. We are reaching out to you and asking you to help us reach our goal of fifty thousand dollars to help cover these expenses and relieve some of the financial strain that has developed.
