I'm running the Lisbon Marathon Oct 25th to support Afrikids. But this year, I'm not alone. Laurie Evans, Alastair McCluskey & Lisa Ross, Stuart McCluskey & Rita Devine, Alec McCluskey & Tara Thorp, Sarah McCluskey, David Atkinson, Jabier Arbeloa, Lucy Brzeski & I are part of Team Afrikids. Together we aim to raise $25,000 for Afrikids, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk youth in the Usa River area of Tanzania. Afrikids gives more than 150 needy kids the chance to succeed by paying for school tuition, uniforms, lunches, classroom supplies & healthcare. Our Run for Afrikids campaign will raise money to educate even more children & transform more lives.

Last year, 156 amazing friends donated to the 2nd annual Run for Afrikids, raising over $18,000 as I ran the Patagonia Marathon, while my valiant partner and Afrikids cofounder Laurie braved brutal winds to complete the half marathon with our dear friend David Atkinson.

This year in Lisbon, we have 12 people participating. Yay! Some are running the full marathon. Others are walking shorter courses. But whatever the distance, the goal is the same: to raise money to support beautiful kids in Tanzania. Please join us on this Run for Afrikids & help us reach the finish line!
