Rachel is a mommy, a wife, a daughter, a coworker, a neighbor, a friend, (a total baddie), and so much more.
Rachel is also a fighter.
She is a deeply caring, fiercely loyal, courageously outspoken advocate, who loves her family and her people, often selflessly putting the needs of others before her very own.
In late August, Rachel’s needs were miraculously put first, for once.
Rachel found a lump, trusted her gut, sought help, and was diagnosed a day later with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) which is an invasive and highly aggressive form of cancer.
She has since assembled a myriad of doctors and professionals to game plan her care and has undergone the first of a series of world-class clinical trial treatments to eradicate this disease.
All this on top of recently moving our family across the state, excelling in a full time legal career, and killin’ it as a full time mother to our three totally-hinged boys.
There is NOTHING she can’t do.
But my hope today is that there are some things she doesn’t have to do.
My personal paralegal has informed me that this GoFundMe is intended to alleviate any financial burden from the medical costs associated with her treatment, and to provide her peace of mind during any of her unpaid time away from work so that she can rest, recover, and spend time with loved ones without stress, during this marathon of a fight.
Your outreaches of help, support, well wishes, showing up, and love have been overwhelming. Our family is truly touched by your kindness. And while we’re still at the beginning of this journey toward reclaimed health, we have no doubt that your support will continue to see us through.
Whether you know her as Rachel, Bug, Pearl, or Mommy- we thank you again for your support of our favorite girl. With you in our corner, we cannot lose.
We will win.
Thank you, with sincere gratitude,
Chris (C-Mo), Atlas, Salem (Boog), & Quest aka The Molloy Boys, and their incredible Mommy, Rachel
ps (I know firsthand she’s a fighter so much as she fought me about even organizing this fundraiser for her benefit because she didn’t want to ask anyone for help. I’m not too proud to admit that she let me win. )
pps (much to her dismay, I bought a huge inflatable pumpkin “for the boys” a month before Rachel was diagnosed and have since teased her that I’ll use it as the centerpiece of a fictional fundraiser called “Pumps for Lumps” - an idea that she lovingly[?] hates. And said would never happen.
So here we are baby! Pumps for Lumps is LIVE! And I do love you so.)
