EMERGENCY RELOCATION - Help Lu Flee Abuser & Stay Sober

UPDATE 3/27/2025

Lu has made it safely to an undisclosed, out of state location.

Due to his safety risk & concerns he will not be home until after his belongings are safely moved.

Lu + and I (his roommate) are still waiting to hear back from Lu’s reps from Peace Over Violence. Emails were sent Sunday March 23, 2025. We have not had the capacity to follow up, getting Lu’s things secured and getting Lu out of L.A. has been our PRIORITY.

Out of the 37 emails sent to organizations and resource contacts; only 8 of them have responded to Lu so far.

We have an intake appointment with a potential Trans/NB Relocation service this afternoon (3/27/2025)

As soon as we can get confirmation for Lu’s relocation of his things Lu will be admitting himself into a mental health facility to ensure that he stays sane and alive.

Pictures have been updated so that folks can see the effort that has been put in to make his storage option as safe as possible. There are security cameras in the space as well as a wifi router.

We were unable to move Lu’s car with his “brother’s” AAA due to time constraints and the incorrect tow truck coming to assist us.

The owner of the property has been made aware that the belongings were not able to be moved due to lack of funds and that they will be relocated as soon as we either have enough funds or get assistance from a relocation service.

WE NEED TO GET THINGS MOVED ASAP!!!

Lu’s Abuser has his phone number and contacted via text late night 3/22/2025; he has chosen to take down and log out of all social media & apps. He has also chosen to block most contacts outside of the chosen few that are Chosen Family and his Safety Team.

The bike was in the same space in a closed storage unit. Hoping to raise extra funds for anticipated out patient residential care for CPTSD and continued sobriety. Please help me get to a total goal of $5,000 minimum.

I have a safe and stable home waiting for me but I also need to continue doing the work to heal from my trauma and stay stable with my medication and sobriety. Please help me move to safety and not have to live in constant fear.

I am currently on a waiting list with The Nexus Moving Company as well as reinitiating contact with my rep at Peace Over Violence.

I have also submitted this GFM to the Nicolas Gogan Foundation Requests for Mutual Aid - providing support to trans+ community members in need. I have also submitted for assistance and GFM sharing to the Trans Wellness Center, LGBTQ Center, Didi Hirche, Pink Haven, Traction, Wombat Health Services and Rainbow Railroad.

The longer I have to stay in LA due to lack of funds, the more I am eating away at this GFM.

I have until 3/24/25 to move from my current situation of couch crashing into something that will finally be safe and stable. However I need your help to escape from LA.

The funds I was anticipating on having to rent a moving truck were needed to use for my safety and a few gender affirming (thrifted) garments. My situation is getting increasingly more dangerous. I don't have any more options or alternatives to pursue as I wait to hear back about free moving services provided to transgendered and NB folks. As a result of the political climate everywhere, these resources take a lot longer to get access to. But nevertheless my name is on two waiting lists.

I've been facing housing instability since January 19, 2024 when I finally made the decision to flee my abusive relationship. I am still being actively stalked by this man, who has followed me in his car TWICE just this week. I haven't had the funds available to own a car, so I can't simply drive where I need to go in safety and with anonymity. I'm afraid to go out alone or with my daughter. LAPD has refused to grant me a restraining order and because of this man's connections, I'm afraid to go to court.

I've been assaulted twice in public this year, still haven't been able to replace my glasses that were broken.

Everything I earn I put towards spending time with my daughter. Since I do not currently have stable housing or my own transportation, the cost of renting a car, ride share, food and a place to stay with her has been incredibly expensive. I do my best to pet sit for housing for us as often as possible, whether it is paid or not.

Realistically, it costs me $100/day just to maintain my current situation. And $150+ on the days I have/see Ellie.

Because I have not been able to have consistent access to my mail, it has effected the food stamps and aid that I could receive. While I can go into their office for paperwork, it also happens to be located very close to my stalker's home. Obviously this makes getting assistance terrifying.

I do not have any help from family because I am queer and transgendered. My grandmother was my last supportive relative and as of about a month ago she is no longer speaking to me anymore. Which is honestly heart breaking for me. Keep in mind that I have not taken or asked for any financial assistance from her.

I'm asking for help so that I can put a new battery in my car (that is in default), rent a moving truck, and feed myself until I am able to safely relocate.

Please help me escape LA and get to a safe and healthy home so I can have stability for myself and more importantly my daughter.
