This fundraiser is very close to my heart. Lupe is a very sweet, intelligent, kind girl whose dream is to be in school consistently to have more opportunities in life. Lupe's grandparents are her primary caretakers, and specifically Pedro her grandfather is like family to me. He is one of the kindest people I have ever met. Pedro lives in San Pablo, la laguna and works hard as a gardener, and sells oranges on his off time. He humbly asked me if I could help, as Lupe's dream to go to a school where she could learn English, amongst so much more became insistent as she kept asking "when am I going to go to school?" It is not always common that young children go to and stay in school here, as they begin working to help their families at a very young age. Pedro wants to make sure that Lupe doesn't have to follow that route, and she can follow her own dreams as she gets a good education. Let's help break this cycle.

There is an amazing Waldorf school here one town over, that once felt impossible for them to attend. Through lots of hard work and prioritizing Lupe's dream, they have enrolled her for kindergarten for the first month.

The stress of how they will maintain the costs is weighing on Pedro, and this is where we can help. Help Lupe stay in school for the rest of the year, by considering a donation of any amount.
