Support Family Impacted by Freeway Shooting
Donation protected
UPDATE: A heartfelt message from Jenn & Dan (parents): To our family, friends, and the incredible community we've recently connected with – words cannot express our gratitude for the overwhelming support during this devastating time. Your love, comfort, helping hands, prayers and the generous donations have allowed us to focus on supporting our children through this challenging journey.
Our son is now recovering at home, experiencing some pain but doing well, while our daughter continues to progress little by little in the hospital, eagerly waiting for the day she can go home.
In our moment of need, a village emerged with incredible strength, leaving us utterly speechless. Our hearts overflow with gratitude for each and every one of you!
With sincere thanks and love,
Jenn & Dan

This fundraising effort is set up for dear family friends we've known for over 40 years. All donations will go towards helping them cover the costs while they focus on their children's recovery, both physically and emotionally.
On Saturday evening, January 13, this Bay Area family of four was driving home on I880 in the San Lorenzo area when they became victims of a random and senseless act of gun violence. The mom was driving when a single bullet entered their car through the rear passenger door, hitting their two young children in the backseat.
Their 13-year-old son was the first to be hit, with the bullet going through his thigh before reaching his sister, 12-year-old, sitting next to him. His sister suffered more severe injuries as the bullet pierced her abdomen area, requiring immediate emergency surgery. She is now stable but remains in the hospital.
Thankfully, both children are recovering, but the family now faces the emotional trauma of the incident. As devoted parents, they can't leave their children's side and won't be able to work for a short time, causing financial strain. Your support is needed to help ease this family's financial burden as they focus on healing from this distressing event.
