The community robotics team that Chris and I proudly coach, recently earned the Champion Runner-Up Award at this year’s Northeast Florida Qualifier! The students worked tirelessly to design, build, and code a LEGO Spike robot capable of completing multiple missions on the competition game board.

In addition to the robot game challenge, they spent countless hours researching a real problem in the field of archaeology and developed an innovative solution. For their project, they created a robot prototype that helps archaeologists detect hidden artifacts before they are accidentally damaged during construction.

Our team has now advanced to the Northeast Florida Regional Competition in December, and we are seeking support to help cover the cost. Any contribution, big or small, directly supports these students’ hard work, learning, and passion for STEM.
