My best friend, Kaci, has always chased her dreams because of her incredible mom, Esther. Every step Kaci takes is to make her mom proud and continue the legacy that Esther worked so hard to build for her and her brother, Zack.

Esther is the epitome of selflessness—a loving, devoted mother who has given everything for her children. In 1999, she suffered a life-altering spinal cord injury in a car accident. After nearly a year in the hospital, surviving against all odds, Esther never gave up. For 25 years, despite being a quadriplegic, she has continued to fight and pour her love into her children, always putting their needs first.

Recently, Esther was rushed to the hospital after Zack found her unresponsive. Doctors discovered a significant brain bleed, and the prognosis has been grim from the start. Due to her condition, Esther is not a candidate for surgery or other life-saving interventions. The swelling in her brain has worsened, and the doctors expect her to slip into a coma within the next 24 hours.

We are now faced with the heartbreaking reality that Esther’s time with us is limited.

I am starting this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of Esther’s current care and any final arrangements that will need to be made in the coming days.
