This is my brother in law, Derick Reaves, while working on his home, he fell from the ladder. He suffered facial fractures, fracture, and a brain bleed. He was life flighted to UAB. He will be out of work for at least six months and will be receiving rehabilitation services. There will be additional expenses traveling to Birmingham. In addition monthly expenses, medical expenses-deductibles, copays, etc. the short term disability insurance is only 60% of his monthly income and will not cover their monthly expenses let alone these additional expenses.
