Hello my dear friends!!

Thanks for checking this out! In 2023, I launched my first fundraiser for an album after decades of working independently in my field. It felt foreign, but I was uplifted and bolstered by y'all's generosity - and it helped me get "River" out into the world, which to date is still one of my biggest albums and proudest accomplishments. I couldn't have done it without the amazing supporters who donated at that time. Everyone's generosity blew my mind!

Now, here I am, at this juncture again, but with a crazier economy and world in general. Despite it all, I have still been writing, recording, and composing behind the scenes and I'm ready to put out a new full-length album! All the songs are recorded, but now begins the wild process of finishing everything up and getting it ready for the world.

It's a wide combination of songs - some brand new, and some that have never been given the full studio treatment, recorded at Wolfe Island Recording Company outside Houston, TX - and also at the recording studios of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra in Little Rock, AR. It features my good friends and brilliant musicians Kevin Skrla, Brennen Leigh, Geoffrey Robson and Melissa Carper throughout the album. Like a lot of my work, it crosses genres from bluegrass, to parlor songs, to rockers, to full traditional country too.

As y'all know, it takes funding to get a record out. Traditional labels are mostly a thing of the past, and unlike my beloved hero Beethoven, I live in a time where the benefactor isn't built into society like the days of yore. But, I think it's exciting that I do live in a time when my listeners and supporters can take an active part in the process of getting my music out of my dreams and into the world. So here I am again, with hope and gratitude, humbly asking for your support now.

I do have the backing of a very small label, Melissa Carper’s Mae Music (I’m the first artist besides Melissa to be on the roster!!). But the label is only able to front a fraction of the costs that go into the complete picture of a full length album release. We plan to release it this summer, in my favorite month, August!

We have already begun the release process by putting out our duet “Rather Have Love” (which has already gotten Sirius XM radio play) along with a video. And we had a photo shoot for the publicity/cover art by the brilliant photographer Heavy Glow (I’ve showcased one of her pictures from our shoot on this page!).

The financial support generated from this fundraiser will cover some of our final expenses that include mastering, cover-art, publicity/radio campaign, vinyl/cd production, video, etc... My goal is $10,000 - and that's only about 1/4 of the cost to make an album, but that amount of donations will make all the difference in the world. And anything beyond that will help with getting my classical works recorded and premieres off the ground, staging "Boat Songs", writing my next opera/musical, finally writing a memoir, etc...
