Support Kayla's Mom's Journey to Recovery

My name is Kayla and I’m starting this fundraiser to raise funds to give my mom a new start.

On Memorial Day, mom was rushed to the hospital for difficulty breathing. She declined rapidly and needed to be intubated for a week. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 COPD and had experienced a heart attack as well.

Mom was finally moved out of the ICU and into a regular room on June 5th where she is still recovering.

Her road to recovery is still dependent on several factors, including her heart function and they will likely be performing a heart cath in the next couple of days. It’s possible she will need a stent.

With mom’s growing list of issues, it’s become clear that there needs to be a significant lifestyle change right away. It’s our plan to have her live with me until she recovers enough to be self sufficient. We are looking to get her an apartment where she can start over and have a new lease on life.
