Help Alejandra Recover From Spinal Surgery and Support Her Family

I’m reaching out on behalf of my sister, Alejandra, who is going through one of the toughest times of her life.

Alejandra is a hardworking, loving, and dedicated single mom who has always put her family first. She’s the kind of person who will show up for everyone—whether it’s to lend a hand, share a kind word, or work that extra shift to make sure her kids are cared for. But now, she’s the one who needs our help.

Alejandra was recently diagnosed with severe spondylolisthesis and spondylolysis, two serious spinal conditions that left her in excruciating pain and at risk of losing mobility. After months of trying everything to manage the pain, her only option was to undergo major spinal surgery.

The surgery went well, thank God—but her recovery is long and incredibly difficult. She’s expected to be out of work for at least five months, and every day brings new challenges. She is now facing an uphill battle with ongoing physical therapy, long-term pain management, and growing out-of-pocket medical bills—expenses she simply cannot afford on her own.

As the sole provider for her children, this situation has placed a heavy burden on her shoulders. Not being able to work is devastating enough—but watching bills stack up while trying to heal and still be strong for her kids is more than one person should have to bear.

Ayudemos a Alejandra a Recuperarse de su Cirugía de Columna y a Apoyar a su Familia

Queridos amigos, familiares y personas de buen corazón:

Les escribo con el corazón en la mano para pedirles su apoyo para mi hermana, Alejandra, quien está atravesando uno de los momentos más difíciles de su vida.

Alejandra es una madre soltera trabajadora, amorosa y dedicada, que siempre ha luchado con valentía para sacar adelante a su familia. Es de esas personas que nunca dudan en ayudar a los demás, que siempre están presentes cuando se les necesita, y que lo dan todo por sus hijos. Pero hoy, ella es quien necesita de nosotros.

Hace poco fue diagnosticada con espondilolistesis y espondilólisis severas, dos condiciones serias en la columna vertebral que le causaban un dolor insoportable y ponían en riesgo su movilidad. Después de intentar diferentes tratamientos, su única opción fue someterse a una cirugía mayor de columna.

Gracias a Dios, la cirugía fue un éxito, pero el camino de recuperación está siendo largo, doloroso y muy costoso. Alejandra no podrá volver a trabajar durante al menos cinco meses, y necesita someterse a fisioterapia intensiva, manejo del dolor a largo plazo, y pagar gastos médicos fuera de su alcance.

Como única fuente de ingreso de su hogar, no poder trabajar ha sido devastador. Ver cómo las cuentas médicas y los gastos del día a día se acumulan mientras trata de sanar y cuidar de sus hijos es algo que ninguna madre debería enfrentar sola.
