Support Baby Ukiah’s Open Heart Surgery!

Ukiah Zade Miller was born on 10/7/24 to proud parents Lyle and Dorene. About halfway through the pregnancy, some abnormalities had presented during an ultrasound that resulted in a trip to Riley Children’s hospital for an MRI, further testing, consults with specialists, and closer outpatient monitoring at Memorial up until birth.

One of the areas of concern was a hole in his heart. He has had multiple echocardiograms since birth and, although the hope was that it would close on its own without intervention, there is now scar tissue growing in a way that is compromising blood flow to his lungs. He is scheduled for open heart surgery on 4/22/25.

Lyle & Dorene have both taken time off work for his extra appointments and now Dorene will be taking a minimum of 1 month off work again to be home with him as he recovers

Anyone who knows Lyle & Dorene knows they would give the shirt off their backs to anyone who needed it - whether they know you or not! They are in a constant state of serving others & wouldn’t think to ask for anything in return. Truly some of the most good hearted people that I know, and it’s been incredible to see their relationship with God only deepen as they rely on Him to guide them through these times.

Ukiah is an absolute joy and a chunky little man! He lights up the room with his smile & his laugh is simply the best He is a strong fighter & we ask that, whether you can donate or not, that you PLEASE keep this precious boy in your prayers as he faces this major surgery.
