Hi, I’m Arnetta Rachel — founder and executive producer of Netta Rae Productions, an independent film and television production company built on authentic, faith-based, character-driven storytelling. I’m currently raising funds for my latest project, 48 Hours in a Day, a coming-of-age short film rooted in the chaos of your 20s and the pressure to always keep moving. This film follows a young woman obsessed with time — productivity, momentum, and the fear of falling behind. She lives as if there aren’t enough hours in the day, pushing herself until life forces her to slow down. At its core, 48 Hours in a Day is about burnout, rest, identity, and learning the hard way that growth doesn’t happen when you’re constantly running.
As an independent filmmaker, I wear many hats — writer, producer, director — and every dollar raised goes directly into bringing this story to life. The funds from this campaign will support production costs (equipment, locations, permits), cast and crew support, post-production (editing, sound, color), and festival submissions and distribution efforts. Netta Rae Productions exists to tell honest stories — the kind that feel personal, emotional, and real. This project is the first of many, but 48 Hours in a Day is special to me because it reflects a season I know deeply and a lesson many of us are learning in real time.
If you choose to donate, share, or support in any way, you’re not just helping fund a film — you’re helping an independent creator tell a story that resonates with a generation learning how to pause, breathe, and become. Thank you for believing in me, my vision, and this project.
