We are the family of Linda Adams. A dedicated, hard-working, motivated, single mother of 6 kids. Known to some as Mom, Lala, Auntie, Sister, Daughter and Friend-Linda is trusted by all, and always there for anyone in need-no questions asked. At only 49 years young, with so much life left to live, she received news that every person dreads. Breast Cancer.
As the feeling of shock started to fade, the other natural feelings during this time started to set in. Worry. Anxiety. Fear. Dread. Denial. As the only adult in her home working to keep a roof over her and her kids heads-who will take on the financial responsibility? Who will cook their meals? Who will look after them? Who will ever fill her shoes? The answer is simple. Nobody. Nobody could ever successfully fill Linda's shoes, and we all pray nobody ever has to try.
With all of her co-pays and deductibles, and a surgery date coming up-the family has banded together to ask for support. We ask for prayers and for any donation you can spare. Within our circle and social media, even 100 friends donating $2 a person can make a dent, and go towards saving our precious Lindas life.
Any donations that do not go directly towards surgery, will be dedicated to medications (some are out of pocket and upwards of $1,000), treatments, recovery, meals and needs for the family while Linda is recovering, and any additional emergency expenses that come up.
In June 2025, Linda Received the diagnosis of stage 0 DCIS (Cancer in the milk duct that hasn't yet spread elsewhere).
Fortunately, this was caught early. Unfortunately, this is a Cancer that requires surgery. Up to now, Linda has been given a treacherous list of tasks to complete to get to be able to schedule her surgery.
After meeting with Oncologists (Cancer doctors) and Plastic Surgeons (for reconstruction), Linda has been given the option and made the decision to have her scheduled surgery on November 7th, 2025.
This surgery will consist of a Lumpectomy on the one side (removing the "lumps" that the cancer is in) and leaving an uneven indentation. Thus moving into a reconstruction part of the surgery, done by the Plastic Surgeons where they will reconstruct, and not add any implants (per Linda's choice). This surgery and the recovery will keep her out of work for anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. As most of her income is Commission-based, 2 weeks to a month out of work is going to hit very hard for Linda and her household.
We ask for any and all donations in this time of need. Thank you in advance and God Bless!
