Support 3 Year Old Harper & Family

My name is Jessie Joye, stepsister to Jeffrey Fraps. Jeffrey, Marcus, and I shared the loss of a brother, Michael, when he was two. A lifetime of heartache, anger, and often time isolation followed our family. No one should have to go through this twice. And yet, here we are…again.
My brother Jeffrey and his wife, Kara, have embarked on their own nightmare of despair and uncertainty with one of their own little princesses, Harper Raye. Jeffrey and Kara need your help right now more than ever. Their beautiful blue eyed three year old little Harper is under sedation as they await the unknown. Acid from a swallowed battery slowly eats away through her esophagus traveling directly towards an artery to her heart. With multiple recommendations to save her and all of them life threatening. Jeffrey’s life as he knows it is at a stand still.
A mother’s instinct is the one thing that Harper has in her favor. A junk drawer is where most household batteries are placed. When Kara noticed a battery cover had fallen off a toy she immediately removed the battery and placed it in the junk drawer. Some time later she noticed the drawer was open and observed that the battery was missing. Because of their swift actions and rushing Harper to emergency they have given her the gift we are most blessed to be given, time.
Kara, Harper, and Harper’s 7 week old sister, Elaina will be flying to Stanford immediately. Jeffrey, Raylee age 9 and Kenzie age 7 will follow shortly behind them by car. They will be in California for up to two months where they have a two month window of possible risk to Harper’s heart. She will be under 24 hour observation with her family next to her.
Jeff and Kara’s income is based solely on their own business where Jeff plows away snow and manages residential property maintenance, himself. Family and friends have come forward to carry on business needs for Jeff while he is gone but this is not sustaining. Until they know how they will recover financially any immediate help they can receive now will remove a burden that should never interfere with the hope and healing of a child. Medical Expenses are guaranteed to be high, including travel costs, and business losses. The future financial burden is inevitable but the gift you can provide today will make one small obstacle during this storm, bearable.
When asked for something to share from Harper’s parents all they wanted to do was share about their little Harper:
“She is the sweetest most loving big and little sister in the whole world! She is a best friend to everyone especially her mommy and daddy ❤ Harper loves to color and play with her cocomelon toys! She loves to be with her big sisters and is enjoying every minute with baby Elaina. She is so much fun to talk to and her imagination is endless. Harper is the sweetest little girl and wants to make best friends and ‘Go to school to make more little friends.’ Her favorite movie is toy story.”
Let your prayers, love and support go ‘to infinity and beyond!”
