My name is Acacia, and KC is my handyman but more than that, he's my friend. His youngest child, Sebastian, AKA Bash, is only 2 years old and has been sick for over a month now. He was finally recently diagnosed with Pre-B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

KC and his family are kind-hearted people who are active in the Down Syndrome community and give far more than they take. KC has even provided work for my family and me free of charge in the past. Now it feels to me like it's their turn to receive, so I hope that you can find it in your hearts to help this family with one of the most difficult situations anyone could go through. These funds will go directly towards Bash's medical bills as he has a long road of chemotherapy ahead.

Here's the story from KC's perspective:

On July 26th, we took Bash into the ER early in the morning, as he was running a very high fever and was inconsolable. We had never seen him act like this or be as feeble as he was. After three different doctors talked to us and panels were run, we were sent home and told Sebastian had E. Coli.

He took a turn, so we brought him back in. We were sent home again and told he was fine and that he just had a viral infection. Bash seemingly got a little better when we got home. We coddled and hydrated, which seemed to help a lot.

However, he continued to feel unwell for longer than expected, and on Friday, August 15, 2025, we took Bash in for a bone marrow biopsy. This confirmed his diagnosis of Pre-B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Today, Monday, August 18th, his port was put in, but we were sent to the PICU due to low oxygen and breathing irregularities. Regardless, he began his first round of chemo this afternoon.
