The team at New Classic Furniture is raising funds to support our co-worker, Eduardo Mejia, as his son, Jake, undergoes open-heart surgery in July 2025.

Jake is a brave and kind-hearted 15-year-old who has always looked up to his older brother and followed in his footsteps, especially on the soccer field. Jake has loved soccer since he was 4 years old and now plays at a high level with a competitive travel team. He made school history as the only freshman ever to earn a starting position on his varsity team in a D1-level program.

Off the field, Jake is just as impressive. He loves math and history, enjoys cooking with his family, and finds joy in being at the beach, especially when spending time there with his sister.

Jake is currently sidelined, hoping to come out of this surgery and return to his normal activities. The family is coping with the stress of such a serious surgery, staying strong for Jake. We are hoping to raise funds to help with the financial burden so the family can focus on supporting Jake during his surgery and recovery.
