I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of a close friend in India, whose 14-month-old nephew, Shauryavardhan, is fighting for his life against a deadly and aggressive form of childhood cancer — Neuroblastoma.
Though not related to me by blood, Shauryavardhan is like family — and I’m doing all I can to help. His parents are facing an unimaginable crisis, and I’ve stepped in to help raise funds since they cannot access GoFundMe from India directly. All donations raised here will be transferred to the family to cover his critical treatment.
A Baby’s Brave Battle
At an age when most toddlers are taking their first steps, babbling their first words, and exploring the world with wide-eyed wonder, Shauryavardhan is instead battling pain, fear, and long hospital stays.
He has already undergone major surgery and completed his first round of chemotherapy at Rainbow Children’s Hospital in India. The cancer was initially treated with surgery and chemotherapy, and for a short while, there was hope — but heartbreakingly, it has returned. His resilience in the face of such suffering is nothing short of extraordinary — but his journey is only just beginning.
His Medical Treatment Plan
Doctors have outlined a comprehensive and aggressive treatment plan that includes:
* Induction Chemotherapy (RAPID COJEC protocol – 8 cycles)
* Autologous Stem Cell Transplant
* Surgery and Radiation Therapy
* Immunotherapy (including hospitalization for administration)
* Supportive Care
This intensive care regimen is his best — and only — shot at long-term survival and recovery.
The Financial Challenge
The total estimated cost of this life-saving treatment is $113,000 USD (₹94,00,000 INR)
The family has already spent ~$12,000 USD ( ₹10,00,000 INR) by exhausting their savings, taking loans, and borrowing from loved ones. But now, they’ve reached the edge of their financial capacity — and time is running out.
They are a humble, middle-class family, and this burden is far more than they can bear alone. That’s why we’re turning to compassionate strangers for help.
How You Can Make a Difference
Your support — whether it’s $10 or $1000 — will directly fund Shauryavardhan’s treatment. Every single dollar will go toward giving him a chance to survive, heal, and grow up.
And if you’re unable to donate, please share this fundraiser with your network. You never know who might see it and be moved to help.
This little boy deserves a future — a chance to laugh, learn, and simply live. You can be the reason he gets that chance.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, your prayers, and your generosity.
