Hello!

I’m Minji (M. Minji Jacome), and I live with my multilingual family and our eight pets in Spain. Currently, I am working on finishing my first novel that I am really excited to release between the end of this year and the beginning of next!

As a teen writer, I am extremely passionate about this project that has already taught me so much about the process of writing, editing, and self-publishing.

My book is what you would call a “Weird fiction” novel, meaning it includes elements of Fantasy, Sci-fi, as well as Horror and Lit fic.

The story follows a stubborn girl who can’t understand her life after it has fallen apart, and who lets herself get manipulated out of fear of not having control. She is fetched off to a parallel dimension Japan, where the same thing occurs, only with strange fantastical cat-like creatures and weird, dark magic.

Over the last few months, I have done lots of developmental edits (edits to the overall story). I am currently implementing the feedback I have received from people who have read my book, but slowly I’m moving on from big picture, developmental edits and moving on towards scene or even line specific issues.

I understand how hard it is to self-publish a novel, and how much time, money and effort will be invested into it, but I really want people to read my story, and I will give it all I can! I believe that my novel could help people, as with the deep themes it explores, or, the very least, be a fun, quirky read, enjoyed typically by ages 9-15.

I am extremely ambitious and will continue on writing, drafting, revising, editing no matter what, and some support on my journey would really help me achieve this huge goal!
